A leading communication technology domain client is hiring a Systems Engineer I for an exciting onsite opportunity in Elgin, IL.

What You’ll Do:

  • Program customer radio systems
  • Support system-level design and requirements gathering
  • Work with networking technologies like TCP/IP and Ethernet
  • Assist with customer system building and showroom floor programming
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Work with VMware / virtual machines and UNIX/Linux environments
  • Learn customer networking concepts and support senior engineers
  • Help optimize and improve existing system solutions

Must-Have Skills:

  • 1–3 years of systems engineering / networking experience
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and networking concepts
  • Experience with VMware / virtual machines
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field preferred
  • CCNA / Network+ is a big plus
