About the Role
We're looking for a curious, hands-on Mechanical Engineer who enjoys bringing new ideas to life. In this role, you'll help design, prototype, test, and improve products as part of a collaborative R&D team. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and manufacturing partners to turn concepts into working prototypes and ultimately into finished products.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with 3D printing and rapid prototyping tools, and seeing their ideas become real-world products.
What You'll Do
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor and related CAD tools.
- Build, test, and refine prototypes to support new product development efforts.
- Operate and optimize 3D printing and rapid prototyping equipment to quickly evaluate design concepts.
- Collaborate with electrical, firmware, industrial design, and manufacturing teams throughout the development process.
- Create engineering documentation such as drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and test reports.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Help troubleshoot prototype and production-related issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Support ongoing R&D initiatives, including testing, data collection, and design improvements.
- Share knowledge and collaborate with team members to strengthen engineering and prototyping processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience designing and developing mechanical products, prototypes, or systems.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.
- Experience with 3D printing, additive manufacturing, or other prototyping tools is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn through hands-on experimentation.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and design considerations for production.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, tolerances, and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in an R&D or product development environment.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, or FEA.
- Hands-on testing or lab experience.
- Exposure to multiple manufacturing methods and materials.
Why Join Us?
- Work on innovative products from concept through production.
- Collaborate with a talented, supportive, and multidisciplinary team.
- Gain hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and emerging technologies.
- Enjoy an environment that values creativity, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
