Cat Scan Technician (CT)

Role: The

Cat Scan Technician (CT) is responsible for performing imaging procedures, reviewing patient history, and educating patients on exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Key Duties

• Prepare and administer contrast media or medication within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately.
• Prepare equipment, implement safety standards, and perform quality control.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment issues.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze imaging results, address quality issues, and retake images if needed.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program; associate degree preferred.
• Certification: ARRT RT (R)(CT) or RT (R) in preceptorship; AZ MRT certification or preceptorship.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience in CT preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, patient care skills, and troubleshooting abilities.
