Role Overview

A Dietitian at this organization plays a vital role within an interdisciplinary team, providing specialized nutritional care for patients with kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend therapeutic diets based on current, science-based practices, patient preferences, and treatment changes, in consultation with physicians.
  • Review lab results and offer education on nutrition topics such as fluid, sodium, potassium, and CKD-Mineral and Bone Disorder management.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community partners to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist in clinical and operational processes to improve patient outcomes and support quality assurance activities, including QAPI participation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification and at least one year of clinical nutrition experience.
  • Valid dietitian license in applicable states or state-specific certification where required, maintained in good standing.
  • Proficiency in English communication and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and clinical applications.
  • Must meet state-specific practice requirements.
