This position anchors that vision. You'll cultivate the Guides who engage directly with students, helping them evolve into outstanding coaches rather than traditional instructors. You'll facilitate life skills workshops that students recall years into the future. You'll analyze performance data to pinpoint where students or Guides are underperforming and coach them toward excellence. You'll also maintain your own student cohort, modeling the standards you uphold for others.

The impact multiplies rapidly. Each Guide you develop influences dozens of students. Each enhancement you introduce to campus culture amplifies across hundreds of young lives. What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and coach Guides to implement Alpha's coaching model with consistency, enthusiasm, and rigorous standards.
• Facilitate dynamic life skills workshops addressing communication, focus, feedback, leadership, and resilience for K-8 students using established playbooks.
• Analyze student and Guide performance data to surface coaching opportunities, eliminate obstacles, and generate measurable weekly improvements.
• Conduct motivation sessions that empower every student to embrace ambitious goals and consistently reach them.
• Manage your own student cohort while demonstrating the coaching excellence and accountability you require from all Guides.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Delivering academic instruction. Students master core academics independently via AI-powered learning platforms.
• Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Your focus is outstanding coaching, not producing instructional content.
• Controlling classrooms through lectures, worksheets, or behavior management systems. Students drive their own learning, and you coach the habits that enable success.
• Reducing expectations to sidestep tough conversations. Rigorous standards and authentic belief in every student's capability are inseparable.
• Defining success by volume of activity rather than outcomes. Impact matters more than effort by itself.

Coach Key Responsibilities

Establish a coaching culture in which outstanding Guides reliably develop students who are passionate about learning, achieve academic mastery at an advanced rate, and cultivate the resilience, leadership, and life skills necessary for long-term success beyond school.

Basic Requirements

• Able to work on campus in Dallas, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Austin, TX; or Fort Worth, TX (relocation support provided).
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or a related field.
• Track record leading a continuous team of five or more adults, with primary or final authority to select team members and execute performance-based termination decisions.
• Ongoing, repeated responsibility for the learning, behavior, motivation, or development of children ages 5-14 in an educational, developmental, athletic, or youth leadership context.
• Demonstrated history of building, launching, or substantially scaling a program, team, school, business, or initiative from inception, rather than merely sustaining or inheriting an existing structure.
• Documented ability to leverage performance metrics and data to identify problems, prioritize interventions, and produce measurable outcomes.
• Willingness to work in a school that intentionally rejects traditional pedagogy.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• Background coaching athletics, facilitating outdoor or experiential education, managing camps, youth programs, or other cohort-driven organizations.
• Experience developing or directing innovative education, EdTech, tutoring, nonprofit, or learning initiatives outside conventional classroom instruction.
• Personal record of outstanding achievement in academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or leadership.
• Deep conviction that education should cultivate capable, resilient, independent young people instead of merely transmitting academic content.
