About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Estimator with proven experience estimating large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical projects to join a growing General Contractor in Houston, Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants to work on complex, high-value data center projects and play a key role throughout the preconstruction and estimating process.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead estimating activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical projects.
• Develop detailed conceptual, schematic and final estimates.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project documentation.
• Develop accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, exclusions and opportunities.
• Work closely with preconstruction, project management, design and operations teams.
• Prepare detailed bid packages and subcontractor scopes.
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting and procurement strategies.
• Participate in client and design team meetings throughout the preconstruction process.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and delivered within required deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of estimating experience specifically within the Data Center / Mission Critical sector.
• Previous experience working for a General Contractor is required.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction and subcontractor scopes.
• Experience estimating large-scale, complex projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, labor, materials and subcontractor pricing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Proficiency with relevant estimating and construction software.

Houston, Texas

Candidates currently outside Houston will be considered, provided they are willing to relocate to Houston.
