BAS Controls Technician – Startup & Commissioning

An established Building Automation contractor is seeking a BAS Controls Technician to support the startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of HVAC Building Automation Systems throughout commercial and industrial facilities in the region.

Responsibilities

• Perform BAS startup, checkout, commissioning, and system turnover
• Troubleshoot HVAC control systems and resolve operational issues
• Respond to service calls and support existing customer sites
• Verify proper operation of installed building automation systems
• Assist with system testing, validation, and optimization
• Support installation teams when needed
• Complete projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards
• Communicate effectively with customers, project teams, and management

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC Controls / BAS experience or equivalent industry experience
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, DDC controls, and building automation systems
• Experience troubleshooting control panels, sensors, controllers, and field devices
• Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software tools
• Valid driver's license

Experience that’s a plus!

• Programming and commissioning HVAC control systems
• Niagara N4, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Distech, or similar BAS platforms
• BAS graphics creation and modification
• BACnet, Modbus, and system integration experience
