Our client is seeking an experienced Division Manager to lead the overall performance and operations of its North Carolina division. This senior leadership position is responsible for operations, finance, project management, production, estimating, workforce planning, and business development.

The ideal candidate has prior leadership experience within the electrical construction industry and a proven track record of managing a profitable business unit, developing high-performing teams, overseeing complex projects, and driving sustainable division growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Wilmington division to achieve growth, profitability, and operational objectives.
  • Manage division financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L responsibility.
  • Review financial statements and monitor budget-to-actual performance.
  • Oversee project management, estimating, job processing, project execution, and profitability reviews.
  • Review and approve design-build estimates within authorized approval limits.
  • Monitor project productivity, staffing, scheduling, labor requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and workforce planning across projects and divisions as needed.
  • Develop new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with general contractors, developers, and key customers.
  • Lead weekly management meetings and monthly operational performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, vehicle programs, supplier requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and long-term division growth.
  • Drive organizational improvements that strengthen operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

Qualifications

  • Prior Division Manager or comparable senior operational leadership experience within the electrical construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing the operational and financial performance of an electrical construction division or business unit.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction operations, project management, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams across operations, project management, estimating, production, finance, and business development.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with general contractors, developers, and commercial construction customers.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making, financial management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent electrical construction projects and competing operational priorities.
  • Proven track record of improving revenue, profitability, productivity, or overall division performance preferred.
  • Experience leading organizational growth or operational improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to meet applicable federal, state, and local licensing or certification requirements.
  • Ability to work in both office and job-site environments while following required safety protocols.
