Overview

Magnolia Hospitality Services is seeking an experienced, hands-on, and results-driven General Manager to lead operations in Laredo, TX.

The General Manager will be responsible for overall hotel performance, team leadership, guest satisfaction, financial results, and maintaining Marriott brand standards. The ideal candidate brings proven hotel General Manager experience, strong operational and financial leadership, and the ability to drive performance in a select-service hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, and Guest Services
  • Drive financial performance through revenue growth, expense control, labor management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing hotel team
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and operational procedures
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement service improvements as needed
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel performance
  • Maintain strong operational controls and property standards
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop department leaders and team members
  • Build relationships within the local business and community market
  • Ensure a safe, efficient, and guest-focused hotel environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of Hotel General Manager experience required
  • Previous experience with a branded hotel required
  • Select-service or focused-service hotel experience strongly preferred
  • Marriott experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hotel P&L, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and revenue performance
  • Proven experience leading hotel operations and developing teams
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Candidates outside the Laredo area must be willing to relocate independently
