Our expertise spans architecture, master planning, interiors, and space planning, all aimed at delivering superior guest experiences.
As we continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced Project Accountant to take ownership of our financial operations and help guide our firm's financial health.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Deltek, or similar)
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, or design industry is a plus
- Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of project accounting for multiple architecture and design projects.
- Monitor project budgets, contracts, billing, and revenue recognition to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and process client invoices, including AIA billing, progress billing, time-and-materials billing, and fixed-fee billing.
- Review project labor, consultant costs, reimbursable expenses, and other project-related charges for accuracy.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Principals to track project financial performance, budgets, and profitability.
- Maintain project setup information, including contracts, billing terms, budgets, and project modifications.
- Generate and analyze project financial reports, including work-in-progress (WIP), backlog, utilization, and profitability reports.
- Assist with project forecasting and revenue projections.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client invoices to support timely collections.
- Reconcile project-related accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
- Coordinate consultant invoice review and payment processing.
