Duties

  • Perform chemical and polymer analysis to support R&D, regulatory, and customer needs
  • Develop, validate, and document analytical test methods and protocols
  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation including HPLC, ICP, and GC-MS
  • Interpret analytical data and prepare detailed technical reports
  • Lead troubleshooting, maintenance, and vendor coordination for lab equipment
  • Support development of new analytical capabilities and lab process improvements
  • Correlate analytical testing results with product performance and application outcomes
  • Assist with purchasing laboratory supplies and instrumentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external labs, customers, and industry groups
  • Transfer analytical methods and best practices across global sites
  • Evaluate new instrumentation and develop research proposals aligned with business needs
  • Create onboarding and training materials for new lab employees and co-ops
  • Support EHS activities including risk assessments and hazardous material management

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field
  • Experience with analytical method development and validation
  • Proficiency with HPLC-QTOF, ICP-MS, and GC-MS instrumentation
  • Strong knowledge of polymers and related materials
  • Ability to interpret analytical data and communicate findings effectively
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining analytical instruments
  • Understanding of statistical validation and laboratory documentation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical teams
  • Familiarity with lab safety, EHS practices, and hazardous chemical handling
