Our ShreveCorps program is expanding its environmental stewardship efforts by building on the success of our initial project of revitalizing 10 acres of unused public lots in low-income neighborhoods across Caddo Parish. These improvements, which include removing invasive species, hazardous debris, and trash as well as planting native plants and restoring biodiversity, have already had a positive impact on neighborhood health, aesthetics, and community pride. The success of our smaller projects has provided a blueprint for future efforts, paving the way for more significant initiatives.

Member Duties : Our ShreveCorps program is expanding its environmental stewardship efforts by building on the success of its initial project to revitalize 10 acres of unused public lots in low-income neighborhoods across Caddo Parish. The improvements, which included removing invasive species, hazardous debris, and trash, as well as planting native plants and restoring biodiversity, have positively impacted local health, aesthetics, and community pride. The success of these smaller-scale projects has provided a blueprint for future efforts, paving the way for larger initiatives. In partnership with the Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation Department, ShreveCorps is now focusing on revitalizing underutilized public parks across Caddo Parish. The collaboration aims to improve 100 acres of parkland, ten times the original goal.
