System Technician - South Bend

Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc., a state leader in systems integration, is looking for a Full-time System Technician to join our innovative team at our South Bend location. If you excel in a hands-on environment and possess the ability to work with a variety of technology systems, this is the position for you.

Responsibilities Include

• Install, repair and maintain a variety of technology systems, including telecom, fire alarm, nurse call, security/intrusion, sound systems and more
• Maintain clear and timely communication with Project Manager and Project Administrator
• Provide accurate records of time, tasks and project status on a daily basis
• Read and interpret blueprints and other project documents
• Adhere to industry quality and safety standards and regulations

Preferred Candidate Will Have

• High degree of self-discipline, motivation and is results and success–driven
• Experience working with end users
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and team members
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving history
• Must pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Record check and drug screening
• At least 3 years of installation and/or service experience
• Must be proficient in telecom installation
• Experience with some of our main manufactures is a plus but NOT required: Notifier, Silent Knight, Keri, PDK, Bogen, Hanwha, Vista, Panduit, Ascom, Biamp, Crown, Extron, Axis
