About the Role

Yuit Communications is seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly collaborative Director of Growth Intelligence to lead the next evolution of how our agency uses research, data, analytics, measurement, technology, and artificial intelligence.

This is a newly created senior leadership role with the opportunity to build a meaningful capability from the ground up. The Director will work directly with the President and leaders across Advertising, Client Services, Creative, and Operations to strengthen how Yuit gathers information, connects insights, measures marketing effectiveness, and turns what we learn into better decisions for clients.

The role sits at the intersection of marketing analytics, consumer research, data strategy, measurement, marketing technology, AI, and organizational knowledge. We are looking for a strategic leader who understands how these disciplines connect, can guide specialists and partners, establish strong systems, and turn complex information into practical business value.

What We Mean by Growth Intelligence

At Yuit, Growth Intelligence means connecting research, audience understanding, marketing performance, measurement, client knowledge, and emerging technology so better information leads to better decisions.

Intelligence should not remain isolated inside a report, dashboard, platform, or department. It should inform strategy, creative development, advertising decisions, client conversations, and long-term planning. Over time, what we learn from every campaign, research effort, and measurement project should strengthen the work that follows.

Primary Responsibilities

Growth Intelligence Strategy

  • Lead the development of Yuit’s research, analytics, measurement, and intelligence capabilities.
  • Translate agency priorities into practical systems, standards, processes, and implementation plans.
  • Connect research, data, marketing performance, client knowledge, technology, and business outcomes.
  • Recommend which capabilities should be built internally, supported by partners, licensed, piloted, expanded, or deferred.
  • Partner with the President and department leaders on capability development and growth opportunities.

Data Strategy, Research & Audience Intelligence

  • Help define the data and analytics infrastructure required to support the agency’s evolving needs.
  • Work with specialists on data pipelines, APIs, warehouses, schemas, integrations, taxonomy, documentation, and data quality.
  • Improve how campaign performance, research, historical information, and client knowledge are preserved and connected.
  • Provide strategic leadership for consumer research, including survey methodology, longitudinal research, segmentation, sampling, and data delivery.
  • Translate research into actionable implications for strategy, advertising, creative development, and business planning.
  • Help develop defensible audience segments and responsible approaches to connecting research with demographic, behavioral, geographic, transactional, and other relevant information.

Measurement & Marketing Science

  • Partner with the Director of Advertising to strengthen Yuit’s approach to marketing measurement.
  • Develop frameworks for evaluating performance beyond basic platform metrics.
  • Advance business-outcome measurement, attribution, experimentation, incrementality, lift analysis, and marketing mix modeling where appropriate.
  • Establish standards for analytical quality, methodology, validation, and evidence.
  • Work with specialized partners and translate complex findings into clear strategic implications for clients.

Data, Technology, AI & Governance

  • Evaluate research, data, analytics, measurement, AI, martech, and adtech providers based on methodology, integration capability, cost, and strategic value.
  • Lead discovery with partners and help manage key vendor relationships.
  • Establish practical standards around data ownership, privacy, licensing, security, retention, access, and responsible use.
  • Guide the thoughtful integration of AI into Yuit’s operations and client work, including analysis, research, reporting, workflow automation, documentation, and knowledge retrieval.
  • Establish standards for AI quality, privacy, security, human review, and accountability.
  • Help organize agency knowledge so research, campaign learnings, client insights, methodologies, and successful workflows can be found and reused.

Agency, Client & Leadership Integration

  • Partner across Advertising, Client Services, Creative, and Operations to embed stronger research, audience, performance, and measurement insights into everyday agency work.
  • Help teams adopt new systems and methodologies through communication, training, documentation, and support.
  • Participate in strategic client conversations and support proposals, presentations, workshops, and engagements involving Growth Intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities where deeper intelligence can strengthen client relationships, create new services, and support Yuit’s growth strategy.
  • Serve as a senior member of Yuit’s leadership team, establishing priorities, ownership, standards, and accountability for Growth Intelligence initiatives.
  • Lead specialized external partners and consultants, identify future staffing needs, and mentor team members in analytics, research interpretation, measurement, AI, and evidence-based decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

Very few candidates will have spent their careers across every discipline this role touches. We value breadth, sound judgment, strong systems thinking, and the ability to lead specialists more than mastery of every technical area.

Strong candidates will likely bring:

  • Approximately 8–12+ years of experience across marketing analytics, marketing science, data strategy, measurement, consumer research, martech, adtech, business intelligence, consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Experience building, leading, or materially advancing an analytics, data, research, measurement, or intelligence capability used by others to make decisions.
  • Strong strategic, systems-thinking, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, ETL/ELT, data warehouses, schemas, data quality, identity resolution, customer-data platforms, and data clean rooms.
  • Strong statistical literacy and working knowledge of research methods including questionnaire design, sampling, longitudinal research, segmentation, weighting, and survey bias.
  • Experience with attribution, experimentation, incrementality, lift studies, marketing mix modeling, CRM outcomes, or business-outcome measurement.
  • Understanding of how first-party, licensed, public, and modeled data can be used responsibly.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, researchers, analysts, data scientists, marketers, vendors, and executive leaders.
  • Strong business orientation and the ability to translate complex technical or analytical information for nontechnical audiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and external vendors, consultants, or strategic partners.
  • Sound judgment related to data privacy, governance, security, and responsible AI use.
  • Practical understanding of AI applications in analytics, automation, research, and knowledge management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Especially Valuable Experience

Experience in agency analytics, marketing science, consumer insights, audience segmentation, longitudinal research, first-party data and CRM, identity resolution, data clean rooms, advanced measurement, modern analytics infrastructure, geographic intelligence, AI-enabled analytics, knowledge management, data partnerships, or building a new intelligence capability would be especially valuable.

What Success Looks Like

Success will mean stronger connections between research, data, strategy, advertising, creative, measurement, and client decision-making. Over time, Yuit should see better use of research and data, more defensible measurement, stronger connections between marketing activity and business outcomes, clearer data standards, better preservation of institutional knowledge, responsible AI adoption, greater analytical confidence in recommendations, and new capabilities that deepen client relationships and create future growth opportunities.
