About Orr Financial Group

Orr Financial Group is an established financial services firm in Victoria, Texas, dedicated to helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their financial futures.

We pride ourselves on developing long-term client relationships and providing personalized guidance based on each client's individual goals, needs, and circumstances.

We are looking for a motivated, professional, and relationship-oriented Financial Advisor to join our growing practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial professional or for someone with a strong background in banking, insurance, financial services, or sales who is interested in developing a long-term career as a Financial Advisor.

The Opportunity

As a Financial Advisor with Orr Financial Group, you will work directly with clients to understand their financial goals and help develop strategies addressing retirement, investments, income planning, education funding, insurance, and other financial needs.

We are looking for someone who wants to build relationships rather than simply sell products.

The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong personal integrity, a desire to learn, and the ability to develop lasting relationships with clients and prospective clients.

Depending on experience and licensing, the position may initially include training, client-service responsibilities, participation in existing client relationships, and business-development activities while the advisor develops their practice.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and prospective clients to understand their financial needs, goals, and concerns
  • Assist clients with investment, retirement, and financial-planning strategies
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Prepare for and participate in client review meetings
  • Review investment portfolios and assist clients in evaluating appropriate financial strategies
  • Educate clients regarding investments, retirement planning, Social Security, education planning, insurance, and other financial topics
  • Identify opportunities to better serve existing clients
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients and help grow the firm's client base
  • Participate in educational seminars, community events, and other business-development activities
  • Maintain accurate client records and required documentation
  • Follow applicable regulatory, compliance, and firm procedures
  • Work closely with the firm's advisors and administrative staff to provide an excellent overall client experience

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include

  • Experience in financial services, investments, banking, insurance, accounting, lending, sales, or another relationship-based professional field
  • Series 7 and Series 66 or Series 65 securities licensing
  • Life and Health Insurance license
  • Previous experience working directly with clients
  • Familiarity with investment and retirement-planning concepts

Licensing is preferred but is not necessarily required for the right candidate.

Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing and able to obtain the securities and/or insurance licenses required for the position.

The Person We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is:

  • Professional and trustworthy
  • Personable and comfortable meeting new people
  • An excellent listener and communicator
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable discussing financial topics with clients
  • Interested in investments and financial planning
  • Able to explain complex concepts in understandable terms
  • Comfortable developing new client relationships
  • Willing to participate in community and business-development activities
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
  • Interested in building a long-term career and growing with our firm

Above all, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and understands the importance of earning and maintaining a client's trust.

Why Join Orr Financial Group?

Joining a smaller, established financial practice provides the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and develop meaningful relationships with clients.

Rather than being one advisor among hundreds in a large corporate office, you will have the opportunity to become an important part of our practice and community.

The position offers the potential for increasing responsibility and professional growth as you develop your knowledge, licensing, client relationships, and advisory skills.
