Location: Anchorage, Alaska (JBER or contract site)

Job Type / Schedule / Pay

• Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time positions available!
• Hours: FT 30-40 hrs/wk - PT 1-19 hrs/wk
• Schedule: Varies based on contract needs (may include early mornings, evenings, weekends)
• Pay: $17.75/hour

Position Summary

The Dishwasher/Dining Facility Attendant supports kitchen and dining operations by cleaning dishes, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring a clean and organized dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment manually or using dish machines
• Operate dishwashing equipment, including loading/unloading racks and maintaining proper temperatures
• Sort and organize dishes, glassware, and silverware
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas, including tables, floors, counters, and service areas
• Bus tables and replenish self-service stations
• Clean kitchen equipment, hoods, grease traps, mats, doors, and windows
• Follow OSHA safety standards and food sanitation guidelines
• Complete required food handler training and company trainings
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and customers
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
• Previous dishwashing, janitorial, or food service experience preferred
• Ability to follow simple instructions and complete assigned tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Alaska driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Must have an insured vehicle
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Ability to obtain site clearance (JBER access if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and cleaning tools
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and cleaning chemicals (MSDS)
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks

Work Environment

• Exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals
• Fast-paced kitchen environment with loud noise levels
