Room Attendant
Camelback Resort
As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and public areas. You play a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction by creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned public areas to hotel standards.
- Replace linens and towels, make beds, and restock room supplies such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and beverages.
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, clean windows, and ensure all surfaces are spotless and sanitary.
- Remove trash and recyclables from rooms and dispose of them properly.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost-and-found items to the appropriate department.
- Follow health and safety regulations and infection control policies.
- Handle guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to supervisors when necessary.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals responsibly and in accordance with training and safety standards.
- Ensure daily assigned room quotas are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
- Maintain equipment and housekeeping carts in clean and good working condition.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel cleaning is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced hospitality environment
- May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Required to wear a uniform and follow grooming standards
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
