Role Overview

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating visually engaging store displays, interior layouts, and balanced audio and visual elements that enhance the customer shopping experience. This role uses creative and merchandising expertise to present products effectively, maintain visual standards, and support sales and product sell-through objectives

Key Responsibilities

• Implement visual merchandising strategies that support sales volume and financial objectives.
• Execute visually appealing store displays and coordinate layout plans for furniture, lighting, accessories, and seasonal merchandise.
• Regularly remerchandise displays, signage, point-of-sale materials, and selected areas to maximize product sell-through.
• Execute floor moves and showroom changes according to layout plans and product priorities while communicating sold merchandise to Visual Management.
• Complete store recovery processes and support the maintenance of interior and exterior store appearance, including coordination of repairs for lighting, fixtures, paint, and flooring.
• Receive, unpack, tag, and prepare accessory merchandise and product shipments for showroom placement while participating in bi-annual inventory activities.
• Follow established visual merchandising standards and maintain compliance with guidelines for signage, store music, and other audio/visual elements.
• Maintain knowledge of products, promotions, store functions, fashion styles, and trends while mentoring store staff on merchandising fundamentals.
• Coordinate regularly with store management regarding visual needs, incoming products, point-of-sale materials, and daily responsibilities.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Two years of retail store visual merchandising experience, preferably in home furnishings.
• Associate degree in interior design, merchandising, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift objects over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to transport loads of up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable attendance.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
