Conversion Rate Optimization Expert
Black Forest Supplements
Nobody here wakes up owning the conversion rate. Millions of people land on our pages every year and no one is concretely accountable for what happens after they do. That is the job we are hiring for.
The role
Every page between the ad click and the confirmed order is yours: the product page, the cart, the checkout, the upsells, and the mobile experience most of our buyers actually see.
You also build. This company has more ideas in a week than it ships in a month, and the queue is the reason. A new landing page, a bundle mechanic, a quiz, a subscription flow, something a competitor started doing that we want live by Friday. You take it from idea to production yourself, without a ticket and without waiting.
We have spent years getting very good at getting traffic and almost less on what that traffic meets. A single point of conversion rate is worth more to this business than any campaign we could launch this quarter.
Black Forest Supplements is a Miami direct-to-consumer supplement brand doing eight figures a year. Cocoa flavanols, NMN, nattokinase, black seed oil. Go and look at the product pages before you apply, the job is everything that happens on them.
What you will be doing
- Testing. Design, build, launch and read out A/B tests continuously. A test every week, not a test every quarter. Session recordings, heatmaps and support tickets are where the hypotheses come from.
- Building. Write the variants yourself. Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript at the level needed to ship without waiting in a developer queue.
- Shipping the backlog. Landing pages, bundles, quizzes, apps, integrations, whatever the idea is. If it lives on the store, it is yours to build.
- Product pages. Rebuild our PDPs around what the data says, not around what looks tidy.
- Cart and checkout. Cart, upsells, post-purchase, subscription opt-in. Find the leaks and close them.
- Watching the market. TrendTrack, app and theme detectors, the Meta and TikTok ad libraries. Know what the brands beating us changed this month, and bring it back as a test, not as a screenshot.
- Mobile first. Most of our buyers are on a phone. Judge every decision there first.
What we will judge in the first ninety days
- A prioritised test roadmap built from your own research into our store, not a generic checklist.
- At least eight tests launched and read out.
- One defensible win shipped to production, with the before and after numbers.
- Three ideas that were not yours, taken from a conversation to a live page, without a developer touching them.
- An honest account of what lost. We would rather hear about four failed tests than one vague success.
What you bring
- Three to five years doing conversion optimization on Shopify. Other platforms on top of that are welcome. Shopify is the one you have to know cold.
- A real testing record. Dozens of tests personally designed, launched and interpreted, including the ones that failed.
- Statistical honesty. You know when a result is noise, and you say so when everyone wants the win.
- Front-end ability. You build your own variants and your own pages — theme-level Liquid, not only a page builder.
- Intelligems or equivalent, and GA4.
- Competitor intelligence as a working habit. TrendTrack or whatever you use, pointed at hypotheses rather than at entertainment.
- Subscription and retention experience.
- You will not be handed a roadmap. You write it.
What will not get you this job
- A portfolio of redesigns with no test results attached.
- "I worked with the CRO team." We are hiring the person who pushed the variant live.
- A win rate above 40%. Either you are counting wrong, or you are only counting the ones you remember.
- Needing a developer to ship a variant, or a page.
